Rev. Dr. Maxine Thomas

Rev. Dr. Maxine Thomas is an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She and her husband of 34 years Rev. Troy Thomas are the Pastor and Assistant Pastor of St. Andrew AME Church in Memphis, TN. She formerly served as Assistant Pastor at Quinn Chapel. AMEC in Louisville. She was also the visionary Pastor of Coke Memorial UMC and Genesis UMC in Louisville. 

 

Dr. Thomas is the founder and Executive Director of Sisters Keeping the Covenant, a ministry of healing and wellness for women and teen girls. 

 

Dr. Thomas earned her B.A. degree in Communication from Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, OH, her Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ, and her Doctor of Ministry degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmer, KY. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D  in Organizational Leadership at Regent University. 

 

Dr. Maxine is an Adjunct Professor at Simmons College of Kentucky and also at Tennessee State University. 

 

She is also the president and founder of My Sister’s Keeper Bible and Leadership Academy. Dr. Thomas is a former television talk show host, editor, and radio personality. She is an international columnist, and is also the author of four Christian books for women.

 

Dr. Thomas is the mother of three anointed and gifted young adult daughters, and one son in love. She is the SweetMa of two beautiful and precious granddaughters. 

 

Rev. Dr. Thomas is a dynamic and anointed preacher and teacher, a mentor, confidante, sister and friend. Dr. Maxine loves the Lord and loves serving God’s people.
